Active Kids (NSW)


The NSW Government is helping kids get active with the Active Kids program.

The Active Kids program provides two $100 vouchers for parents, guardians and carers of schjool-enrolled children to use towards sport and active recreation costs each year.

From 1 July 2019, parents, guardians and carers can apply for the second $100 Active Kids voucher.

Voucher 1 is valid January to December and Voucher 2 is valid July to December

After the start date, approved providers (local cricket clubs in NSW) registered with teh Active Kids program can accept and redeem valid vouchers from recipients.

If you’re a parent, carer or guardian, the student will be eligible if they are:
  • a NSW resident with a valid Australian Medicare Card
  • aged between 4.5 and 18 years, and
  • enrolled in school (from Kindergarten to Year 12, including those who are home-schooled or enrolled in secondary school education at TAFE NSW).
Vouchers can only be used:
  • one time (if the chosen activity fees are less than $100, then the remaining balance cannot be used)
  • during the calendar year they’re issued
  • for the person named on the voucher
  • for registration or membership fees with approved Active Kids providers.
Vouchers cannot be:
  • split between more than one provider or registration (meaning you may not be able to the claim the full $100)
  • used for individual items (like jerseys, socks or boots)
  • redeemed for cash.
Active Kids Vouchers can be redeemed by registering as a NSW participant for Cricket Blast, Junior or Senior Club Registration forms (as long as they meet the above criteria).

Sports Vouchers (SA)


The Sports Vouchers program is a Government of South Australia initiative administered by the Office for Recreation and Sport. The program provides an opportunity for primary school aged children from Reception to Year 7 to receive up to a $100 discount on sports membership/registration fees. The purpose is to increase the number of children playing organised sport by reducing cost as a barrier to participate in sport.
The voucher is available to all South Australian primary school aged children, meaning if the child is attending or is eligible to attend primary school (between the years Reception to Year 7 in South Australia) and can be redeemed once every calendar year by each individual primary school aged child.
Follow the steps online to complete the registration. When you reach the payment page, remember to tick the box to redeem the 2019/20 voucher and then answer the remaining questions. To successfully redeem the voucher you need to enter your full Medicare number (without spaces) Please remember to add 11 digits (10 numbers at the top and then the specific number for the child, without any spaces). The total cost of the program will then be minus the $100 from the voucher.


KidSport (WA)


KidSport enables eligible children aged 5 to 18 to participate in community sport and recreation by offering them financial assistance towards club registration fees of up to $150.
All Western Australian children aged 5 to 18 with a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card are eligible for KidSport.
KidSport applications are assessed by the local government in which the child resides or by the KidSport team at the department. If an application is approved, the KidSport team will email you a voucher code (unique to the child). The code needs to be provided to the club when registering so that the approved amount can be deducted from the registration or membership fees. All voucher codes will expire in 90 days.

Ticket to Play


Ticket to Play is a Tasmanian Government program designed to reduce the cost of participating in club sport for young Tasmanians. Eligible participants can receive a voucher of up to $100 to use towards the cost of membership of approved clubs.
Applicants must be
  • living in Tasmania;
  • aged between 5 and 17 years old at the time of application; and
  • be listed on a valid Centrelink Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card or be in Out of Home Care.
