Participant Registration

Every child that participates in the Woolworths Cricket Blast program pays a registration fee which ensures your centre and all participants are covered by insurance.

All potential participants are directed to where they enter their postcode to find their nearest Woolworths Cricket Blast centre. Volunteer team managers are able to log into the Master Blasters Centre Management in MyCricket to view participant registrations. Roles & Responsibilities

Parent involvement

The Master Blasters program is designed for parents to get involved and spend some quality time with their child progressing their cricket skills.  Parent involvement is a huge determinant of participant enjoyment, skill progression and achievement.  The ‘Blast Crew’ has been developed to provide clarity and options for parents and volunteers to get involved.

Blast Crew

The Blast Crew are parents and volunteers who help at a Master Blasters program.  The Blast Crew is designed to provide options for parents and volunteers to help as little or as much as they would like.  During the registration process you will be asked what level of involvement you would like to have.

Roles include:

  • Blast Coach - Duties include; managing a Blast Team and facilitating a game of Master Blaster. Full support is provided
  • Blast Crew - Duties include: General team helper, possible scorer, help participants practice their cricket skills, set up and pack down of the grounds etc.

State and Territory Cricket Association staff can assist with the recruitment and training of Blast Coordinators and Blast Crew should you require it.

Online training & resources

Cricket Australia provides online training for all Master Blasters Coordinators, Volunteers and Parents. This course will take around 45 minutes to complete and is mandatory for all coordinators. It will cover a number of topics including: 

  • Philosophy
  • How to structure a program
  • How to provide a quality experience

Australian cricket will also run in-service sessions for deliverers and volunteers that go through centre structure and engagement in a practical environment. To find your nearest in-service session, please contact the Woolworths Cricket Blast Helpdesk at or phone 1800 CRICKET (1800 274 25 38).

Delivery of equipment and apparel provision

Each new Master Blasters centre will receive an equipment kit to cater for the number of registered participants in the program.
