Information for parents

Getting moving, learning the skills and playing and competing build strong foundations of movement skills and assist with social interaction.

Cricket offers many opportunities for your child to develop their skills. Whatever your child's skill level they will find every cricket match to be enjoyable and challenging.

Clubs are interested to hear from young children and parents looking to be involved in the game. Often children and parents get a group together from school and go and join a club for further competition opportunities. Not only will the child develop cricket skills they will also be able to make friends, be active, learn about the game and important skills like leadership, decision making, and team work.

As cricket clubs are volunteer and community based organisations, parents can also get involved as a volunteer, coach, umpire, scorer or committee member.
